المعايير الأكاديمية ببرنامج النبات والكيمياء

 

المعايير الأكاديمية للبرنامج:

 

يتبنى البرنامج المعايير الأكاديمية القومية لبرنامج النبات و الكيمياء المقترح من قسم النبات والميكروبيولوجي والذي تم اعتماده من الهيئة القومية لضمان جودة التعليم والاعتماد كمعيار قومي لبرنامج الميكروبيولوج/كيمياء (تاريخ الاعتماد 1/12/2019 – مجلس كلية رقم 420) كما يتبنى البرنامج المعايير الأكاديمية القومية والمواصفات العامة لخريجي العلوم الأساسية التي وضعتها الهيئة (وثيقة المعايير 2009).

 

  • المخرجات التعليمية المستهدفة من البرنامج (ILO’s):

1ـ المعرفة والفهم  

                                                                           a- Knowledge and Understanding  

:By the end of this program, graduates will be able to

a1. Explain the related scientific facts, concepts, principles theories and techniques in botany, microbiology, chemistry, zoology, physics, mathematics and geology.

a2. Discuss the essential knowledge in botany, chemistry, zoology, physics, mathematics and geology.

a3. Explain concepts, facts and the broader significance and impact of recent advances in biotechnology to integrate knowledge across disciplines concerning ethics and social traditions.

a4. Identify the terminology, nomenclature and classification systems, diversity, cellular process, levels of organization, complexity and evolution of plants and microorganisms.

a5. Discuss plant ecology, taxa limit and the characteristic habitat features, environmental science and the characteristic habitat features of representative organisms as well as adaptation to extreme environments.

a6. Discuss theories applied for interpreting and analyzing biological information and physiologic processes at both the population and molecular levels.

a7. Explain the major types of chemical reactions, nomenclature, formulas and units and the main characteristics associated with them.

a8. Explain the principles and procedures used in chemical analysis and the characterization of chemical compounds.

a9. Explicate the characteristics of the different states of matter and the theories used to describe them

2ـالقدرة الذهنية      

a10. Describe the basics of English language.

                                                                                                b- Intellectual Skills

:By the end of this program, graduates will be able to

b1. Differentiate between subject-related theories and assess their concepts and principles in botany, chemistry, zoology, physics, mathematics and geology.

b2. Interpret qualitatively and quantitatively science relevant data in botany and microbiology.

b3. Interpret mathematical expressions, formulate and test hypotheses in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics,…etc.

b4. Evaluate the ecosystem, the impact of its organisms, its conversion, economics and sustainability.

b5. Formulate data, propose and conclude mechanisms and test hypotheses in botany and chemistry

b6. Differentiate between the different states of matter, elements and compounds and employ data processing skills in handling of chemical on the recognition and quantification of properties

b7. Use information technology to summarize scientific topics.

3ـ المهارات المهنية والعملية  

                                                           c- Professional and Practical skills  

:By the end of this program, graduates will be able to

c1. Conduct experiments using appropriate techniques in botany, chemistry and zoology.

c2. Apply techniques and tools considering scientific ethics in botany, chemistry and mathematics.

c3. Solve problems using a range of formats and approaches in botany,microbiology, chemistry, zoology, physics, mathematics and geology.

c4. Analyze qualitative and quantitative field and laboratory data to address questions in botany and chemistry

c5. Conduct methods and techniques in biotechnology and assess its economic potentialities and solve problems.

c6. Investigate the biological and chemical samples, give characteristics and relate it to its group and illustrate labeled diagrams and sectors as well as prepare herbarium specimens.

c7. Apply standard laboratory procedures concerning risk assessment, involved in synthetic and analytical work, in relation to both inorganic and organic systems.

c8. Apply field and laboratory investigations of living systems in an ethical and responsible manner.

c9. Conduct experiments on plant organs.

4ـ المهارات العامة والقابلة للنقل

:By the end of this program, graduates will be able to

d1. Use information and communication technology effectively.

d2. Identify roles and responsibilities, delegate tasks, and set clear guidelines and performance indicators.

d3.  Think independently, and solve problems on scientific basis.

d4.  Work in a team effectively; manage time, collaborate and communicate with others positively.

d5. Address the community linked problems with high consideration to the community ethics and traditions.

d6.  Acquire self- and life-long learning.

d7.  Apply scientific models, systems, and tools effectively.

d8.  Deal with property rights legally and ethically.
