يهدف برنامج الكيمياء إلى تخريج كوادر علمية مؤهلة تمتلك قاعدة معرفية راسخة ومهارات مهنية وتقنية حديثة، قادرة على المنافسة في سوق العمل المحلي والإقليمي والدولي، وذلك من خلال:

1. إعداد خريجين متميزين يمتلكون معارف علمية ومهارات عملية تؤهلهم للعمل بكفاءة في المجالات الكيميائية المختلفة، وتلبية احتياجات سوق العمل المتجددة.
2. تمكين الطلبة من فهم المفاهيم والنظريات العلمية والتطبيقية في فروع الكيمياء المختلفة، وربطها بالتطورات الحديثة في العلم والصناعة.
3. تنمية المهارات المعرفية والإبداعية والتقنية التي تعزز القدرة على التحليل والتفكير النقدي وحل المشكلات العلمية بطرق ابتكارية.
4. توظيف التقنيات الحديثة والأساليب المهنية في التطبيقات الكيميائية والبحث العلمي، بما يواكب التحول الرقمي والابتكار في مجال العلوم.
5. تعزيز القيم والأخلاقيات المهنية والمسؤولية العلمية لدى الطلبة في التعامل مع البيانات والتقارير والنتائج البحثية.
6. دعم التطوير المهني لأعضاء هيئة التدريس والهيئة المعاونة والإداريين من خلال التدريب المستمر وتنمية القدرات البحثية والتدريسية.
7. تحفيز البحث العلمي التطبيقي والابتكاري للمساهمة في خدمة المجتمع وحل المشكلات البيئية والصناعية وفقًا لمتطلبات التنمية المستدامة.
